Music Teacher

Covenant Classical School is seeking a skilled music teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a part-time position but has growth potential to full-time.

We are seeking a gifted educator who is ready to partner with us to establish a culture of joyful singing and growing music literacy among all our students. Experience with Kodaly methodology will be very helpful.

The successful candidate will join our professional learning community of faculty dedicated to the school’s mission and one another’s personal and professional growth. A resonance with our classical and Christian philosophy of education, a commitment to direct instruction using engaging methods, and a willingness to learn and grow as a classical, Christian educator are all essential.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess a gift for teaching, a vibrant Christian faith, and experience with an appreciation for the classical model of education.

Covenant’s classical and Christian philosophy of education requires teachers to be part of building our students’ academic foundation by providing instruction in the academic disciplines through the lens of a Christian worldview, while also helping students understand the foundational truths of the historic Christian faith.   

We value teachers who are able and willing to implement the best practices of classical schooling including direct instruction and deeper level questioning, while preparing engaging lessons and managing the classroom in a way that builds a community of grace.  

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A master's degree and/or prior teaching experience is preferred.
