Covenant Classical School exists due to the investment of time, energy, hard work, and prayer of numerous individuals. Teachers, administrators, and parents have poured themselves into the development of this gracious community, helping us advance our mission in the lives of students across the western suburbs for the past ten years.
It is always a bittersweet time when we have to say farewell to one of our instructors, but at the same time, we are excited to see how the Lord will use these individuals to further His Kingdom work in other ways. We are also consistently humbled and amazed to see how the Lord provides for our school in the midst of such transitions.
This year we say farewell to an integral part of our team–Ryan Spice. Mr. Spice has been a steadying presence in our school and has worked tirelessly (often behind the scenes) to help equip our students and staff through his IT support.
Mr. Spice taught for seven years at Covenant, instructing in Latin, math, and Spanish. During his time with us, he ran our IT systems, ensuring our students and staff had all that they needed to learn and instruct, while being on call at a moment’s notice.
“A large part of this growth was because of the high-quality faculty, staff, and administration, and the dedication of the Covenant families.”
Most recently Mr. Spice became one of our unsung heroes during our time of remote learning. With the help of Adam and Kelley Burke, Mr. Spice invested a great deal of time and effort to transition our entire classical program to an online learning format while training our teachers and families to utilize the best that technology can offer during such a time.
